1. AV = Audio-Video; AVN = Audio-Video-Navigation; only AVN versions have navigation available.
2. AV versions has 512 MB RAM and 4 GB storage, while the AVN version has 1024 MB RAM and 8 GB storage.
Media Nav (MN1)
Introduced in 2012, this is the first generation of Media Nav (MN1), also known as Media Nav Standard or Media Nav Classic. Its features include radio, audio playback, Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. The firmware runs on top of Windows CE 6.0. MN1 is also refered to as ULC1.

Media Nav Evolution (MN2)
Launched in 2015, this is the second generation Media Nav (MN2). Additional to the first generation, new features include traffic info (using RDS / TMC), speed camera warnings and AHA Bluetooth support. MN2 is also refered to as ULC2, for firmware versions 5.0.0 – 7.0.5, and ULC3 for versions 8.0.5 – 9.1.3.

Media Nav Evolution 2 (MN3)
The third generation Media Nav (MN3) is introduced in 2018; it’s also known as Media Nav Evolution 2.0 or Media Nav EVO 2. Unlike the first and second generation Media Nav, its firmware runs on top of Linux Yocto (Poky) as the OS. The main new features are Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. MN3 is also refered to as ULC4.

Media Nav 4 (MN4)
The table below contains a list of the official firmwares for Media Nav 4, the fourth generation Media Nav (MN4). Like the third generation Media Nav firmwares, these run on top of a Linux distro as the OS. MN4 is also refered to as ULC4.5.
