How to use MICOM Test

MICOM Test is the most complex section of the MICOM Manager tool. It is commonly used for activating the rear camera or activating the rear speaker, yet it supports a lot of other settings. It should be noted that MICOM Test is very developer-oriented; for a more user-friendly alternative, with more options, using MICOM Config is recommended, where possible.

For instructions on how to access MICOM Test, see How to access MICOM Manager. This guide here contains descriptions for most settings found in the interface.

Saving changes can be done using DSI Config (on MN1 & MN2) or Hard Reset (on MN3) buttons.

Note: Small differences from the interfaces presented below can be found across different firmware versions, on the same Media Nav generation.

ATTENTION: Do NOT touch Clear Virgin, Make Virgin or ClrCnf buttons as they will reset the device configuration and thus brick the Media Nav unit.

DISCLAIMER: This tool section should be used with the utmost care. Inadequate use can brick the Media Nav unit. It is operated at one’s own risk. Colloquially said, don’t play around if you don’t know what you’re doing.
